6 WORD PICTURE STORY

I used Instagram for the filter and pixler, com to put the text on. The Principal's office sign got a little blurry in the process but through Pixler you can actually tweak the quality to make things clearer.

SKETCHY SCRATCH

Scratch is an e-mazing  program that teaches children easy to learn computer programming. I was up pretty late working on mine and things got a little weird. You can play with it here.

There's a lot that students can do on here. They can pick characters. Set music to a scene. Choose backgrounds. Add audio. The programming is easy. It's like fitting puzzle pieces together. What I liked about is that it lets you make mistakes and put puzzles in places that don't make sense BUT it just won't work. So the student isn't mindlessly letting the program tell them, this doesn't work here. They have to figure out what doesn't work on their own.

There are plenty of online tutorials to help you out.
